What this is, and what it isn’t.

The Federal Architect is an online magazine of contrarian, data-driven intelligence for the small and mid-market technology firms that build for the U.S. federal government. It is not a marketing site, it is not a vendor blog, and it is not a press-release rewrite shop.

Every numeric claim we publish carries an inline source. Every direct quote is attributed. Opinion is flagged as opinion. We do not run anonymous vendor praise or anonymous vendor attacks.

The editor

Shahid Shah is a senior government technology operator. The publication speaks with his authority and tone, but it is a publication, not a personal blog.

Who we write for

CEOs, founders, BD leads, and engineers at federal technology contractors doing $1M–$100M in annual federal revenue. Program officers and contracting officers inside agencies. Investors evaluating GovCon tech.
